Adventure Parks
Prehistoric park
Near Malansac the `Parc Préhistoire` should be seen. It's set in twenty acres of wild woodland and you start your walk through the woods, go round a corner and suddenly there's a life-size Brontosaurus in front of you. Watch out for the ferocious Tyrannosaurus Rex and keep your head down or the giant flying Pterodactyl will get you. See all the dinosaurs in their natural environment. Walk on through time and see our most ancient ancestors emerge and start to evolve. It`s all in English as well.

Coetarian Adventure Park
Situated near La Roche Bernard the park offers a great day out for all the family. There are rope bridges high in the trees, an assault course, pony trekking through the forest, and abseiling just to name a few of the activities on offer. Its all fully supervised with safety gear. They speak English so you can ring them in advance and check it out for yourself Tel 02 99 90 97 03.

Tremelin Adventure and Aquatic Park
Just north of St Péran this adventure park has a lot to offer. There`s the lake with its canoes, pedallo's, sailing boats and water skiing. If you prefer to stay on dry land then try the quad bikes, horse riding, the miniature train or just hire a bike. Afterwards why not have a restful meal in the on-site restaurant ?

Quelneuc Adventure Park
This is a great fun park. For a whole day of adventures in a safe and secure setting. Why not go abseiling? Or if you think you're up to it then challenge the assault course. Afterwards cross the road and try your hand at paint balling ?

Go to `Roc Adventure` in Le Roc St Andre and find out what it's like to be a monkey. Here (with all the safety kit) you'll be off up in the trees on an amazing adventure. You climb up through the branches, crossing ropes, ladders, bridges and pulleys reaching heights of up to eighty feet. The adventure takes about two hours to complete and is quite scary (although you do have a safety harness). Our kids love it and to be honest we do to. Our advice is to arrive at 1.30 when they are opening and then you'll have the forest to yourself !

At the end you have to face the final Death Slide (aerial runway) which is a hundred meter pulley drop down from the treetops back to the safety of terra firma..............see below video ! Just click on the triangle in the centre of the box below to play it.

Still looking for more fun ? Check out the L`Adventure Nature at Morieux or the Parc d`adventure at Carnac (you can combine this one with a trip to the beach !)

Parc de Roi Morvan (The Park of King Morvan)
Between Pont-Aven and Carnac, near LeFaouët, The Park of King Morvan covers thirty hectares including twelve hectares of  lakes.

A multitude of activities await you including electric accrobranches, trampolines, karting, cross-country races, boats, a miniport, mini-golf, laser shooting-trap, paint ball, quads (for children from 6 to 12 years), a 220 meter fantastic tyrolienne, a covered play area, and swimming pools.

Armoripark
This park in Begard has loads to do for the children. There`s trampolines, bouncy castles, pedallos, water slides, sauna, Jacuzzi, mini golf, boating, swimming and even an animal petting zone.

Cobac Activity Park
Close to the magnificent town of Dinard, Cobac Parc welcomes you to twelve hectares of wooded parkland offering over thirty different activities. There's a wide-range of activities for all ages and tastes: quad biking, water slides, swimming pools, bouncy castles, train rides, bucking broncos, go karting and aerial walkways.

Parc d`Attractions
The Park of Attractions in Sautron has more than a hundred things to do for children and adults: bouncy castles, abseiling, mini-golf, slides, boats, adult and child go-kart's, roundabouts and ball parks. The luge (bottom right photo) is great fun.

Bouncy castles
This bouncy castle park is a great day out for the children. Our kids will spend the entire day going from one to another of these huge inflatable's. There`s also trampolines and a great adventure assault course in the forest. Just pay 6 euros each to get in and stay as long as you like. Best of all parents are allowed on most of the things as well. Don`t forget to take swimming costumes as some of the castles have water slides. There`s also pony riding and mini golf on-site plus a cafe.

We recommend taking a book or a stack of papers and then spending the day taking it easy whilst the children entertain themselves.

Mazes
If you fancy getting lost for a while then why not take a trip to a maze. There`s one at St Alban (Le Labyrinthe de Malido) and one at St Malo (Labyrinthe du Corsire).

The Games Centre at Monteneuf
I wasn`t really sure which section to put this in as it is really a one off. It`s not an adventure park but then where else could I put it ?

The first thing to say is that there are NO computers here. This is a centre for `traditional` games. All are hand crafted from wood and vary from small board games right up to croquet and skittles. It`s a really nice place. You pay €5 and can stay all afternoon and evening playing anything from table football to a traditional Breton horseshoe throwing game. A lady is always on hand to explain how to play anything you are unsure of. It`s great fun for any age. Our children love it and so do we.

Sporting Action
Go-Karting
Fancy a bit of action? Then go to the go-kart circuit (La Pyramide) at Guillac. Hire all the safety gear, hop on and tear round the course.

Micro-lite/ Glider Trips
Better still, if you're really brave and want a great aerial view of Brittany then why not nip over to the aero club at Loyat and book up for a Microlite flight or glider ?

Adventure Quad
At Kerstran is Adventure Quad where you can go off roading on quad bikes. There's a choice of three sizes -which start from 'les Petits` at six years old and go up to full size adult ones. Priced from only €9 you will first get a full briefing then you're off on your own around the forest tracks......

At Ploermel is the huge `Lac au Duc` which is famous for its sailing school. Here you can hire boats, pedallos, canoes, wind surfers, catamarans, motorboats or even go water skiing.

Helicopter trips
How about a birds eye view of the Brittany coast ? At the `Aerodrome de Vannes` you can go on a helicopter trip for between 20 and 50 minutes. They will take you up over Vannes and across the Golfe du Morbihan and Carnac. The views are spectacular and you'll never forget it !

Also at Ploermel is the Ten Pin Bowling alley, open every afternoon. The don`t take reservations so just call in whenever you fancy a game. It`s just behind LeClerc supermarket by the Lac au Duc. They speak English as well !
