La Maison Orange is a charming stone cottage nestling in a tiny hamlet just outside Treal, near Malestroit and Ploermel in Southern Brittany
The gite is finished throughout to a high standard providing everything you'll need for a great holiday and has been completely refurbished including new furniture, appliances and a brand new fitted kitchen. The house is heated with radiators -if needed- and there's free WiFi as well

The location of the gite makes it the perfect holiday spot for those wanting both the idyllic tranquility of rural Brittany, together with the option of getting out and about to visit the nearby towns, restaurants and sandy beaches. The nearest village of Reminiac is just two minutes drive (1.8 miles) and has a restaurant -The Old Ivy-, a general store plus two bars. A kilometre on from Reminiac brings you to Monteneuf which boasts a large bakers, a general store and another traditional Breton restaurant
The nearest large town is mediaeval Malestroit, about ten minutes away. Here you will find banks, supermarkets and restaurants in abundance. For more info see the Local Towns link on the Things to Do page which has a selection of all the best Brittany towns.
A taxi service is available from Orange to wherever you'd like to go and you can pre-book this direct with the company- ideal if you dont fancy walking or driving back from the restaurant or bar
The ground floor boasts a light an airy open plan kitchen/ dining room and lounge with a comfy leather sofa and modern flatscreen television with British satellite installed. It receives all the Freeview channels including BBC, ITV etc plus the usual radio stations. There's also an Ipod/ Ipad/ Iphone dock, speaker system so you can listen to your favourite music or perhaps, if you prefer just sit back and relax in the peace and quiet of the Brittany countryside
The well equipped kitchen is brand new and has everything you'll need for your holiday including a washing machine and dishwasher
The gites first floor has two rooms: The main bedroom with its pine double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and dressing table and an en-suite with toilet, wash basin and walk in shower

The rear garden is accessed via the back door which opens onto a seating area with its garden furniture and BBQ. The lawn then blends gently into the field behind
The front of the house has off-road parking for one car and also extensive views across the countryside. You can see across the Brittany hills for about eight miles
